Traded my electric kettle for a stovetop whistler last month

I used to just press a button and wait 90 seconds for hot water, but the kettle's plastic coating started peeling off. Switched to a stainless steel whistler from a thrift shop for $4 and now I actually pay attention to the boil instead of scrolling. Any other night owls still use stovetop kettles for their late tea rituals?

Used to side with @mason_knight but this actually made me slow down and enjoy the process more.
