Bought a $40 heated eye mask and now I can't fall asleep without it

I know it sounds silly but last month I grabbed one of those cheap USB eye masks with bead inserts for late night reading before bed. Warmed it up for 2 minutes and put it on and my eyes felt so relaxed I was out in like 10 minutes. Has anyone else tried one of these or got a different trick for winding down after midnight?

I told myself I'd never be the person who buys a fancy eye mask, but now I'm three weeks in and can't sleep without mine either. Guess I'm just an expensive sleeping baby now.

Started using one of those heated masks myself a couple months back and it's honestly kind of ruined me. Now I'm one of those people who gets grumpy if I forget to plug it in before bed. But here's where it gets weird - I got so used to the warmth that I tried using a regular heating pad on my neck one night and woke up with it wrapped around my head like a crazy person. Took me a solid minute to figure out what was going on. My wife thinks it's hilarious but also says I look like a cyborg when I'm all wired up.
