Appreciation post: the neighbor who put a free produce stand out front
I grabbed a bag of zucchini and tomatoes last Tuesday from Mrs. Gable's stand on Elm Street and it hit me that I've been overpaying for sad grocery store greens for years, anyone else got a neighbor doing something simple like this that changes your whole week?

When I grabbed a bag from Mrs. Gable's stand, it also made me realize how much food waste we could cut if more people did this. Half the time my zucchini from the store goes bad before I even cook it, but those homegrown ones stay fresh for days. Feels like a win for everyone involved, not just my wallet.
