Just brought home a screen-used lightsaber hilt from a small auction house in Ohio
I won it for $320 last Thursday, and it came with a COA from the prop master who worked on the original trilogy. Has anyone else had good luck finding hidden gems at regional auctions instead of the big Hollywood houses?

Man that's an amazing find for $320 with a real COA from the original trilogy prop master. Regional auctions are honestly where it's at sometimes, I've had way better luck at small places in the Midwest than the big LA ones. Big auction houses jack up prices just because of the name, but little places like that don't always know what they have or don't have the same hype. Your lightsaber hilt sounds legit too, that COA is probably worth more than the piece itself in the long run. Glad someone grabbed it who actually appreciates the history behind it.

Ngl those regional auctions are a goldmine for serious collectors who do their homework. The small town auctioneers often just lump everything together without researching the deep cuts that fans would pay real money for. It's that old saying about one man's trash being another man's treasure, except in this case it's a prop master's signed paperwork.
