Just hit my 100th thrift store couch find last weekend lol

I was digging through a curb pile in Austin and counted back through my photos real quick, turns out I've rescued 100 couches over the last 5 years. It kinda blew my mind since I usually just grab whatever looks fixable without keeping track. Anyone else ever hit a random milestone like that with your couch hunting?

HOLD ON, 100 couches? That's wild. But here's the thing nobody's talking about: how many of those have you actually sat on or kept? I bet half of them are just props in your garage or stacked up in a spare room like some kind of couch museum. You might be a hoarder with a really specific hobby, not a rescuer. Either way, respect for the dedication but maybe check your fire hazard situation.

Oh man "couch museum" got me lol. But you're touching on something bigger here. People get into these "rescue" hobbies and it's like they're just collecting clutter with a noble label. I see it everywhere now - like my neighbor who "rescues" old lawnmowers but they're just rusting in his backyard. Or the thrift store ladies who buy every ugly lamp because they're "saving it from the landfill" but their house looks like a hoarder den. It's the same pattern as people who adopt 10 dogs they can't afford and call it fostering. We need to be real about the line between genuinely helping things and just feeding our own compulsion to accumulate.
