Hand sawing a 2x4 is faster than you'd think

Last month I had to cut 12 boards for a raised garden bed but my circular saw battery was dead. Everyone told me to just buy a new battery or use a hacksaw. I grabbed my old crosscut hand saw instead and timed myself. Each cut took about 45 seconds and I was done in under 10 minutes. No noise, no dust cloud, and I got a little arm workout. Has anyone else found hand tools faster than power tools for small jobs?

Nah you gotta tell me though, were you using a sharp saw or was it kinda dull? That makes a HUGE difference in speed.

Tbh a sharp saw cuts faster than most people give it credit for, and it's just one of those things in life where having the right tool ready beats having the fastest one fully charged.
