Vent: Took 5 hours to change a light fixture that should have been 20 minutes

The old wiring was so brittle it basically disintegrated when I touched it, then I had to run to three different hardware stores to find a new junction box that actually fit the weird 1970s bracket in my dining room.

Man, my attic still has knob and tube from the 50s that just crumbles if you look at it wrong.
