Tried submitting a small claims case online and the portal glitched out 3 times before I learned the shortcut

Had a dispute with a landlord over $400 in deposit money in Austin. Spent an hour filling out the county court e-filing system only for it to crash on submit each time. Called the clerk and she told me to skip the online portal entirely and just email the PDF directly to the docket clerk with 'FILING' in the subject line. Worked in 5 minutes. Judge ruled in my favor 6 weeks later. Has anyone else found a hidden workaround like that with court systems?

Did you have to pay any extra fees going that route? That sounds way smoother than dealing with their busted portal.

Yeah @dylanbarnes that's exactly what happened. No extra fees, just a PDF straight to the right person. The clerk basically said the portal's a mess and everyone does it this way now.
