Hit 50 small claims cases this year and it was way funnier than I expected

I'm a landlord in Portland and I do my own eviction filings to save cash. Last month I filed my 50th small claims case of 2024 and the clerk at the courthouse actually recognized me. She said 'oh you're back again, number 50 huh?' and gave me a little gold star sticker like I was a kindergartner. I mean it was kind of absurd but I laughed about it. The cases range from unpaid rent to people stealing appliances on move out, and each one has its own wild story. The lady who tried to pay me in beanie babies still cracks me up. Has anyone else gotten a weird milestone from dealing with the court system?

Wait, she gave you a gold star sticker for filing 50 eviction cases? That's both hilarious and a little unsettling if you think about it too long.

Right? It's like we're all still in kindergarten sometimes.
