The week I had only half a lemon and a bag of frozen peas to work with
Last Tuesday I was dead set on making a stir fry until I opened the fridge and found no veggies except a sad half lemon and a bag of frozen peas that had been in there since who knows when. I tossed the frozen peas straight into a hot pan with garlic powder and soy sauce, then squeezed that lemon over everything at the end. It came out weirdly decent - the lemon cut the soy salt and the peas got this char that tasted intentional. For three straight nights I ate variations of that until I finally went grocery shopping. Has anyone else had a random ingredient combo that actually saved dinner?
