That time a coworker convinced me to put takis on a PB&J sandwich
I rolled my eyes so hard when she said it, but I tried it in the break room yesterday and the spicy crunch against the sticky peanut butter is honestly kind of genius, has anyone else accidentally stumbled into a weird combo that actually worked?
Calling it genius is a stretch but the takis thing works because the acidity cuts through the peanut butter better than regular chips. People act like putting crunchy stuff on a sandwich is some new invention when we've been doing that since we were kids. Salt and fat combos exist for a reason, they're not groundbreaking. If you want an actual weird combo that works, try hot cheetos and cream cheese. That's been around forever and actually slaps harder than your takis experiment.
Oh come on, stop pretending this is some kind of culinary breakthrough. You literally just threw chips on a sandwich. It's not GENIUS, it's just salty and crunchy. I swear people will call anything "life changing" these days. Next you'll tell me dipping a french fry in a milkshake is innovative. It's the same basic salt and fat combo we've been doing for decades. I'd rather just eat my chips on the side like a normal human being.
