Spent $80 on a magnetic parts tray and it was a total waste
I bought this big magnetic parts tray from the hardware store last month for like $80 because I was sick of losing screws and buttons and random bits from old electronics I tear apart. Everyone online swears by them for keeping stuff organized when you're digging through junk drawers or fixing things. But honestly? It just made everything worse. The magnet was way too strong and it pulled screws out of my tweezers before I could even place them. Plus if you drop a tiny spring or a watch battery on that thing it flies off and disappears under the fridge. I spent more time fishing parts out from behind the desk than I ever did before. Has anyone else tried one of these and ended up just tossing it in the junk drawer itself?

You got screws flying out of your tweezers?" Yeah, that's a real pain, but honestly I've had the opposite luck with mine. Maybe yours is just way too strong for small stuff, or maybe you gotta angle the tweezers different so the part doesn't get snatched.
