Used to be all about the new stuff but man, the difference in quality is night and day once you hold them side by side. Grandpa's box would probably outlast a few of these modern ones lol.

Have you seen that video where someone tested an old metal tackle box against a modern plastic one with a hammer? It was pretty eye opening honestly. The old one barely dented while the new one shattered into pieces. My uncle still uses his dad's box from the 60s and it looks beat up but works perfect. Meanwhile I've had to replace the hinges on two Plano boxes in the last three years. They just don't make em the same way anymore. That thick steel and solid latches are tough to beat.
