My $8 thrift store label maker saved my junk drawer chaos

Picked up a broken looking Dymo at Goodwill for 8 bucks, replaced the batteries and it works perfect for labeling all those mystery cables and random screws. Anyone else find a tool that turned your junk drawer from a black hole into something you can actually find stuff in?

My dad actually found an old label maker at a garage sale for like 50 cents. It still had that sticky tape inside that smells like old plastic. He used it to label every light switch in the house with "on" and "off". We still laugh about it.

Drop the idea that you need a label maker to fix a junk drawer. It's literally a drawer with random stuff in it, you sort it for five minutes and it's fine. People really act like they're solving world hunger with this kind of thing. The dad labeling the light switches is way more my speed, at least that's funny. This whole "chaos" thing is a bit dramatic for a pile of old batteries and takeout menus.
