Misting debate: fixed my ferns but now I'm hearing it's risky
I stopped my fern's brown tips with daily misting, but some say it invites mold. Do you mist your plants or use other tricks for humidity?

What humidity tricks work for you now? I swapped misting for a small tray of pebbles and water under my pots.

No way, you gave up misting for pebbles? That's wild because misting was the only thing keeping my ferns alive last summer. I tried the pebble tray thing once and all it did was attract gnats. Had to throw out two pots because the roots got too wet. My neighbor swears by a humidifier instead, but even that's a hassle. Honestly, I'm back to misting twice a day, but with distilled water to avoid spots.
