Honestly, it's wild how often the best stuff happens when we ditch the plan. Tbh, I see it all the time when people stop trying to make the perfect thing and just let it happen.

Man, that's awesome. My attempt at something similar just ended with a sad-looking stick figure next to a lopsided tree. My trail journal would just be a series of apologies to the art community. Seriously though, that's a way better souvenir than a playlist. My stick figure and I are a little jealous.

Your apologies to the art community bit is familiar. I tried a pottery class and my vase ended up as a flat pancake of clay. Now I don't even try to make stuff, I just take pictures.
