Honestly, half the guys chase the extra pay from sites states away, while the rest think being gone weeks hurts family life. Tbh, a recent Arizona strip mine contract made both sides loud. Ngl, how do you all call it?

Totally get this, we had the same split on pipeline work last year. Some guys were all about the per diem and living in motels for weeks. Made it pretty clear who values money over home time.
