Noticed biofuel options growing at our local equipment yard

At my yard, they added a biofuel pump next to the diesel ones. It's supposed to be better for the environment and doesn't gunk up the engines. Has anyone had good or bad experiences with it?

Does it actually run as well as regular diesel in your equipment?

My old tractor is such a clunker it wouldn't know the difference. The stuff seems to run fine, but my main piece of equipment is practically a museum display. I'm probably not the best person to ask about performance.

That's a good point about older gear, but I've found the real test is with newer equipment. The biofuel runs just as strong in my modern mowers, but you have to watch for water in the fuel because it can separate. The big thing is it seems to keep the injectors cleaner over time. Just change your fuel filters a bit more often at the start, as it can loosen old gunk in the tank.
