Tried to speedrun that ice level in an old SNES game and fell through the floor 8 times
Ngl I thought I could just run straight through the ice cave in Donkey Kong Country without stopping, but it turns out the physics make you slide right into a pit every time. After the 8th death I realized you actually have to stop and plan your jumps, which I clearly wasn't doing. Has anyone else had a game where you just refused to slow down and it cost you big time?

Reminds me of trying to beat Rainbow Road by holding down the gas the whole time.

Yeah that level is brutal, I've eaten dirt there more times than I'd like to admit.
