TIL I spent 3 hours in Skyrim trying to jump onto a wagon for a quest

I read a post last week about someone stuck on a Skyrim mission because they couldn't figure out the right path. That reminded me of my own dumb moment back in 2016. I kept trying to leap onto a moving wagon near Whiterun for the 'A Night to Remember' quest, thinking it was a puzzle. Turns out I just needed to talk to a guy standing 20 feet away. Has anyone else wasted way too long overcomplicating a simple objective?

haha oh man that exact quest got me too. I spent like an hour trying to chase down that drunk guy outside the inn because i thought you had to follow him or something when he runs off. turns out you just go inside and talk to the innkeeper and you're done. felt so dumb afterward. it's crazy how easy it is to make stuff way harder than it actually is in these games.
