Just realized I was playing Skyrim wrong for 5 years

I never used the wait button. Like at all. I thought you had to just stand there or fast travel somewhere to pass time. Then my friend watches me wait for a shop to open by just staring at the door for 10 minutes and he's like dude just press T. I felt so dumb. Has anyone else missed something basic like that for way too long?

Did you also jump everywhere because you didn't know fast travel existed?

Learned that one the hard way after spending 20 minutes hopping across the map for a quest. Fast travel is a lifesaver once you actually look for it, I swear it's worth checking the map menu early on. These games love hiding the feature in a submenu nobody thinks to open.
