Pro tip: Watch out for that 'export for web' setting in Illustrator, it got me good
I was finishing a logo for a client and needed a quick png. I hit 'export for screen' and picked the folder, thinking it was done. The file looked fine on my computer, but when the client opened it, the colors were totally washed out. Turns out I had the color profile set to sRGB but the export was still using my document's profile, which was Adobe RGB. I had to go back, change the doc settings, and re-export every single file. What should have been a 2 minute job took over an hour to figure out and fix. Has anyone else run into this color profile trap with quick exports?

Yeah, that export menu is a total trap.

Oh man, that "export for screen" move is so sneaky. I get what @the_paul means about the trap, but for me the real killer is forgetting to check the actual export settings box for the color profile.

My buddy lost a whole client revision over that color profile box, @holly_williams. He swore the preview looked perfect on his monitor. The final files came out totally washed out and weird.
