That moment you realize people are treating gnomes like action figures, not garden decor

I keep seeing folks on here posting pics of gnomes posed in these action hero stances, like balanced on one foot holding a tiny tool. That's not what they're for man. I found one last Tuesday tucked under a dripping hose bib at a park in Austin, just sitting there getting dripped on, totally natural and funny. Why do people think they need to stage these things like a Marvel movie?

Right?! Like why are people treating gnomes like action figures now? @blair_davis that hose bib gnome is EXACTLY the kind of thing that makes them great. Last fall I saw one in a little patch of moss near a drainage ditch in my neighborhood, just peeking out from under a fallen leaf, and it made me laugh for a solid minute. No one posed it, no one was trying to make it look cool, it was just there being a gnome. That's the magic.
