My car keys vanished from the kitchen counter for a solid hour yesterday.

I looked everywhere, even checked the freezer. They reappeared exactly where I first looked, under a mail flyer. Has anyone else had an object just blink out and back in like that?

Honestly, this happens to me all the time. I swear there's a spot in my house that just eats things for a little while. It's never where you'd actually put the thing, it's always some dumb place like under a piece of paper. Makes me feel like I'm losing my mind.

I just started putting everything in one specific bowl by the door... it's dumb but it works.

Ever try just putting a small tray on every flat surface? Sounds dumb but it works. My keys and wallet go in the tray by the door. Mail goes in the tray on the kitchen counter. It forces you to put stuff in the same spot every time. Stops the random paper pile from eating your things.
