Spent $400 on a new glass cutter and it's been nothing but trouble
The wheel keeps sticking on the score line, leaving a rough edge every single time. My old $30 cutter never did this. Anyone have a fix for a cutter that drags instead of glides?

Man, that reminds me of when my fancy new kitchen knife wouldn't cut a tomato. @nathan_barnes is right about the humility thing, sometimes you just gotta go back to basics. I ended up using my old cheap one for a month before the expensive one decided to work right.

My $200 cutter did the same thing, felt like dragging a brick through sand. I found a tiny drop of light oil on the axle post made it roll smooth again. Sometimes the fancy tools just need a little breaking in, or in my case, a little humility.

Used to think you just had to muscle through new tools. Your fix totally changed my mind, sometimes the simple stuff works best.
