My new suction cup handles were a game changer on a big storefront job
I picked up a set of those heavy duty suction cup handles for about $180 last month, thinking they'd just be nice to have. We had to move a 10-foot piece of 3/4 inch tempered glass into a tight mall entrance. In my experience, trying to muscle that with just gloves and a partner is a good way to get hurt. These things locked on solid and gave us actual control. The money felt steep at first, but it saved my back and probably the glass. Has anyone found a good brand for the rubber gaskets that go on them? Mine are already looking a bit worn.

Totally get that. I almost didn't buy mine because of the price, but man, they make moving big sheets feel safe. We had a similar setup with a thick shower door, and just having those solid handles to grip changed everything. The control is unreal. For the gaskets, I've had good luck with the generic orange ones from that big online tool store, they seem to last a bit longer than the stock ones.

Ever think about how much those handles change the way you even CUT the material? I used to put so much pressure on the sheet just trying to hold it, which would tweak the saw. With a solid grip, you can focus on the feed speed and let the tool do the work. It's less about brute force and more about guiding things. That control actually makes my cuts cleaner because I'm not fighting the piece.
