I finally gave solar control glass a shot on a storefront.

The owner says the AC runs less now. It's pretty cool how much it can reduce energy use. Maybe it's just me, but I think more jobs should use it.

Honestly, I see this pattern all over now. Take my dentist's waiting room, they got special glass and it stays cooler without blasting the AC. Specifics like that show how much we're missing out. We stick with outdated stuff because change feels like a big deal, but it's often not.

But the upfront cost is still a real problem for a lot of small shops. They might save money later, but that initial hit can be too much when margins are tight. It's not always as simple as just making the change.
