Unpopular opinion: I miss the old school glass supply catalogs more than I thought I would.

I just realized I've been ordering my 96 COE clear frit from the same online supplier for exactly 15 years, which feels strange because I can still picture the exact page from the old Armstrong catalog I used to circle with a red pen.

Unpopular opinion" is a bit much for missing catalogs. It's just a change in how you order supplies, not some big loss. The new way clearly works fine if you've used it for 15 years.

nah i actually kept all my old grainger and mcmaster carr catalogs from like 2005 ish @piperh50 and its wild how much has changed. honestly the trick is to keep the latest one on your desk for quick reference when ur placing an order cuz it saves so much time scrolling. i still flip through mine for stuff like fasteners or weird fittings that are hard to search for by name. you can also mark pages with sticky tabs for the parts you buy most often makes it way faster. plus its nice to see the actual size of things on paper instead of guessing from a screen pic.
