Shoutout to the guy in Toledo who told me to try a 3/32 inch blowpipe

I always thought the standard 1/4 inch was fine for everything, but he said the smaller one gives way more control on small pieces. Tried it on a set of perfume bottles last month and the difference was real, especially on the neck pulls. Anyone else switch up their pipe size for specific jobs?

Bought a 3/32 inch a few years back after watching some guy on YouTube make bird figurines with it. Ended up using it so much I forgot I even had a 1/4 inch pipe for like six months. But here's the thing, I tried it on a big vase project and the glass just wouldnt get hot enough fast enough, had to switch back mid piece. Now I keep both sizes hanging on the wall, swap em out depending on what I'm doing. Its like having a screwdriver set, you just grab the right tool for the job.

My hands are too shaky for that kind of precision work, honestly. You make it sound easy though, maybe I should give it a shot?

Too shaky" is just an excuse, just go for it.
