I used to think those $80 graphite reamers were a total scam, but my shop partner forced me to try his on a 32mm punty seal.
I was working on a big goblet and the seal was just not releasing clean, kept chipping the lip. He handed me his and said 'just trust me, it's cold.' The difference was insane. It cut through the punty like butter with zero chatter. I've been using a steel one for 15 years and never knew what I was missing. Anyone have a good brand they swear by, or is it all pretty much the same?

Is it really that big of a difference or did you just have a bad steel one?

What changed your mind? I was the same way until I tried one on a stubborn seal.
