Pro tip: skip the fancy pegboard and use plywood instead

I overheard a guy at the hardware store last weekend saying pegboard is the only way to keep a garage organized, and I just don't get it. I've had a 4x8 sheet of 3/4 inch plywood with simple screws and hooks in my garage for 2 years now, and it holds my shovels and rakes fine without the clips breaking every few months. Am I missing something, or is plywood just as good for most folks?

Plywood won't rust when the garage gets damp like pegboard can.
