My buddy said my workbench was wobbly and I ignored him for 6 months
He came over last spring and pushed on the corner of my bench and it moved like a bucking horse (embarrassing, right?). I finally bolted the legs into the concrete floor last weekend and now I can't believe I waited so long to do something so simple. Has anyone else had a friend point out an obvious flaw that you just refused to see?

My buddy Mike pointed out that my garage door spring was really squeaky about a year ago and I told him it was fine, just old... yeah, I ignored it until last month when it snapped in half at 2 AM and the door came crashing down. Took me three days to find a guy who could come out and fix it on short notice and it cost me double what it would have if I'd just called someone back when Mike said something. Now I make a point to at least check stuff out right after someone mentions it, especially the little things. That concrete bolt trick sounds smart though, I should do that with my own bench before it gets embarrassing too.

Bolting it into concrete is a solid fix, but hopefully you put some shims under the legs first to level it out before you drilled. A buddy of mine did the same thing with his workbench, except he didn't check for level and now the whole thing sits slightly cockeyed against the wall. Just a heads up in case you ever need to move it or adjust it down the road.
