I finally saw the Before and After in my garage lighting after 5 years

Had cheap shop lights in there since I moved in 2019, swapped them for LED strips last weekend. The difference in how I see my workbench now is almost like a different room, has anyone else put off lighting upgrades for way too long?

Yeah I put off swapping out the old tube fixtures in my garage for years. Finally got some LED linkable strips from a big box store and wired them up in a row. The color temp makes a huge difference too, I went with 4000k instead of the cool blue ones. It's crazy how much better I can see small parts and measurements now.

OH MAN don't even get me started. I put off swapping my garage lights for so long that I convinced myself I was just "building character" by squinting at everything like a mole person. Turns out I was just stubborn and cheap. The 4000k choice is KEY though - those cool blue ones make everything look like a morgue, not a workspace. Now I can actually tell the difference between a 10mm socket and a 12mm without holding it up to my face like a caveman examining a shiny rock. It's honestly embarrassing how much time I spent blaming bad lighting for my terrible aim with a screwdriver.
