Rant: I bought a blender based on video reviews, but the noise level was never shown
After watching several video reviews that focused on how smooth it made soups, I got this blender for my small apartment. Turns out, it sounds like a jet engine and my neighbors complained. Some people say video reviews need to show real use sounds, while others think that's too nitpicky and not the point. Where do you stand on what details should be in a gadget review?

My friend returned hers after one smoothie.

That's wild, mine has been solid for over a year now. I mean, I use it a few times a week for frozen fruit and it still works like a champ. Maybe their friend just got a bad one or something.

Oh man, my buddy's brand new one started smoking after his first frozen berry mix. We all heard this awful grinding noise, then this burnt smell filled his kitchen. The motor just quit, like it couldn't handle the ice at all. Has that happened to anyone you know?
