A guy at the coffee shop saw me struggling with a new smartwatch
I was trying to set up the fitness tracking in line at Blue Bottle, and he leaned over and said, 'Press the crown twice, then swipe left.' It worked instantly and saved me from a total meltdown. What's the best simple tip you've gotten for a gadget that felt too complicated?

That coffee shop moment sounds nice, but I have to side with sarahhart on the meltdown part. My nephew spent an hour trying to pair his new headphones, near tears. The fix was just forgetting the old device in the Bluetooth menu. These gadgets make simple steps hard to find. A printed "first three things to try" card in every box would save so much frustration.

Total meltdown" is a bit much for a watch setup. But yeah, those little tips save time. Best one I got was to hold the power button down for ten seconds on my router. Fixes most problems.
