Caught my buddy drinking pickle juice at midnight, now I get it

I always thought pickle juice was nasty straight from the jar, but my friend Dave chugged some at a party last Friday around 2am. He said it stops leg cramps and helps with hangovers, which I laughed off until I tried a sip. Honestly, the salty sour taste hit different and I felt less thirsty after. Anybody else swear by this stuff or am I missing something?

Ngl @grace_fox3, I think it's just salty water doing the work, not magic pickle juice.

Dave hitting the pickle juice at 2am makes total sense now, that salty sour kick actually works for rehydration. Been there with the leg cramps after long runs and a few gulps from the jar really does stop them cold. Glad you gave it a chance, that stuff is way more useful than I ever gave it credit for.
