My fridge transformation last Wednesday was a real wake-up call

I opened my fridge and found a 3-week-old container of chili that had grown this weird fuzzy white cap on top. Tossed it and suddenly had room for the half bag of spinach and that single limp carrot. Now I'm eating a stir-fry that tastes surprisingly decent. You ever find something so old it actually helps you organize better?

Oh man, I've been there. Tossing that science experiment gave me the push to finally chuck out everything I knew I'd never eat.

lol "science experiment" is exactly right. But here's something nobody's talking about - that fuzzy white cap is actually a pretty solid indicator of how fast stuff molds depending on the humidity in your specific fridge. My buddy works in a lab and told me chili goes white fuzzy when it's got too much moisture trapped, while other stuff just gets slimy. So next time you see that cap, it's not just gross - it's telling you your fridge seals are probably a lil loose or you need to check the temp. That limp carrot though, we've all been there haha.
