Can we talk about the day I realized I was using mayo wrong for 20 years

I always spread mayo straight from the fridge on sandwiches and wondered why they tasted flat. Then my buddy Dave at a cookout said to let it sit out 15 minutes first and I felt like an idiot for never trying that.

Yeah @jade885 I was the same way for years, didn't think it mattered. But trying it room temp really does make a difference, the flavor comes through way better.

I dunno man, is it really that deep? I just slap cold mayo on bread and it tastes fine to me. Maybe your bread was stale or something.
