Showerthought: I used to just shove everything in my fridge, but a five dollar lazy susan for the door shelf was a total game changer.

I compared the 'pile it in' method to actually organizing condiments and sauces on a spinner. Now I can actually SEE the sriracha and the gochujang before they expire, which means I use them more. Anyone else have a simple fridge hack that cut down on waste?

That lazy susan trick is brilliant for the door. The real waste-saver for me was getting a set of clear, rectangular bins for the main fridge shelves. Everything gets grouped by type, like a bin for cheeses and a bin for lunch meats. You can just pull out the whole bin instead of digging through a messy pile. It stopped so much stuff from getting lost and forgotten in the back.

Yes! That's the real key, organizing by USE.

My fridge got way too cluttered with those clear bins. I tried them for a few weeks and ended up just stacking things on top of the bins because they never fit right. Now I just throw everything on the shelves loose and do a quick clean out every Sunday. It takes 10 minutes and I never lose anything because I actually see what's in there.
