Why I insist on deciding our games before anyone shows up

Picking games ahead stops arguments and lets us play more.

Send a poll to the group chat the night before. We waste way less time deciding what to play when people vote ahead of time.

I mean, idk, maybe it's just me but I really don't like picking games before we meet up. It feels too set and kills the fun of just seeing what happens. People's moods can change, and what sounded good in a poll might not fit when we're all together. Plus, talking it out as a group is part of the hangout for me. Sure, you save some time, but that time spent deciding is when we catch up and get excited together. I'd much rather go with the flow even if it takes a few extra minutes.

Heard on a podcast that deciding games beforehand cuts out most disagreements, @alice_anderson35. Lets everyone jump right in.
