My group bought the 'Mystic Realms' expansion before checking the rules
In my experience, we dropped $35 on it thinking it would add a whole new campaign, but it's basically just cosmetic cards and one extra character. We spent our whole session last Friday just trying to make it work with the base game and gave up after two hours. Has anyone else had a letdown with a game add-on that looked way better online?

That "whole session trying to make it work" is the worst, we learned to watch unboxing videos first.

Totally! I started checking the official support page for "known issues" before even opening the box. Found a weird firmware bug last time that had a simple patch. Saved me hours of headache.
