My friend told me my game night invites are too vague
For months I'd just text 'games at my place Friday' with no details. My buddy Mark finally said, 'Dude, I need to know if we're doing Catan or Jackbox and if I should eat first.' He was right. Now I send a short list with the main game, a start time, and a note about snacks. It cut down on last minute texts by a lot. How specific do you guys get when you plan a night?

Honestly I was the same way, thought the vibe was more important than the details. But getting that "what time again?" text for the tenth time wore me down. Now I put the game and start time right in the first message, it just works better.

But is it that deep, @gibson.oliver?

@wren806 but then you lose the mystery of a casual hangout, planning kills the whole spontaneous vibe.
