Appreciation post: My $30 dice tower purchase actually saved our D&D night
We used to have a player who would 'accidentally' roll dice off the table every single time (you know the type). I grabbed a basic wooden dice tower on a whim, and it cut our combat rounds down by like ten minutes each. Now we can actually get through a full dungeon in one sitting. Anyone else find a small thing that fixed a big game night problem?

That bit about cutting combat rounds down by ten minutes really hits home. It's funny how often the fix for a big, annoying group problem is just one small, physical object. My friends used to argue about music for half an hour until someone just brought a cheap Bluetooth speaker and made a playlist. The tower is like that, it's a simple rule made out of wood that stops the argument before it can even start.

Wait, your friends argued about music for half an hour? Every single time? That sounds like its own special kind of hell. I can't imagine spending that much of a game night just on picking songs.

Wait, you used to think those little physical fixes were silly? Me too, but @fisher.mason is totally right. I saw a group use a tower last week and it just WORKED, no more talking over each other. Changed my whole view.
