Vent: We had a stubborn core shift on a big gear pattern that was scrapping every other pour. A guy from the old Pittsburgh plant told me to try a thin coat of graphite wash on the drag side of the cope. It worked.

Honestly, that old plant guy wisdom is the best. Tbh my first move would have been to just hit it with a hammer.

Right like the hammer thing is a whole mood, I get it. But honestly sometimes the simplest fix is just waiting and watching, you know? Plants do their own thing on their own time. Maybe it's just me but forcing it never works out as well.

My go-to move is also just hitting stuff, but yeah, plants are weird. They really do just need you to leave them alone and feel judged.
