The old core shooter at the plant finally gave up the ghost yesterday.

It was a 1987 model we'd kept running with duct tape and hope for years. I had to pull the entire hydraulic manifold to find a cracked fitting that wasn't even on the schematics. Anyone know a good source for obsolete Graymills parts these days?

Honestly, that's just how those old machines go out. They wait until you've really started to believe in the duct tape, then they find the one part that doesn't exist anymore. Tbh, it's like they have a personal grudge. I swear my old press was held together by hopes and prayers for its last decade. Good luck finding that fitting without having to buy a whole other dead machine for scraps.

Actually, Parker stores are great for new parts, not salvage.

Man, those old Graymills are a pain. Try calling some of the bigger industrial salvage yards in the midwest, like Reconditioned Systems in Ohio. Sometimes they have old stock or can pull a fitting off a dead unit. Also, check if the thread spec is still common, you might get lucky and find a generic replacement at a Parker store if you bring the old part in.
