Serious question, what's your current method for checking core vent seals before a pour?
I used to just eyeball them for years until a blowback incident at our Tacoma shop in 2022 forced us to adopt a mandatory pressure test with a simple gauge, which caught a faulty seal on a 400-pound mold just last Tuesday.

Man, that's rough about the blowback. Glad you guys were okay. We had a close call that made us switch too, it's just not worth the risk. Now we do a full pressure check on every single mold, no exceptions. That extra five minutes can literally save a life. It's crazy how you can look at a seal and think it's fine, but the gauge tells a different story.

Oh man, "look at a seal and think it's fine" is my whole life story. I used to be the KING of the visual check, swore I could just SEE if something was wrong. Then one time the gauge showed a drop so small I would have bet money it was fine. My pride has never fully recovered from that little needle. Now I'm a total convert to the five minute rule, even if my old self would call me paranoid.
