Rant: Powering down the furnace too fast led to a nasty surprise

I always cut the furnace off quick to head home early. Figured it didn't hurt anything. Then the lining cracked from cooling too fast. The repair job ate up an entire shift. Now I let it cool slow, even if it means waiting around.

Ever try to rush a paint job? I learned the hard way that skipping the prep work just means you'll be redoing the whole thing next year.

Rushing things always bites back. My uncle once hurried through winterizing his boat and the engine seized up. Ever had a quick fix turn into a bigger mess?

My quick oil change turned into a FULL engine rebuild.
