Our furnace upgrade slashed energy use overnight

We put in new high efficiency burners. The change was immediate. Gas use went down thirty percent. Costs are lower now. What steps has your shop taken?

We added more attic insulation last fall. The house felt five degrees colder almost right away, it was wild. Totally worth the upfront cost.

Honestly, how does more insulation make it feel colder right away? Ngl that seems backwards. I always thought insulation was supposed to trap the heat inside, not make it chillier.
