I used to think the cheap knockoff pouring cups were fine, but I was wrong.
Bought a set for maybe $50 total, and one cracked right down the seam on a big pour, ruining a whole crucible of iron. The cleanup and lost metal cost way more than that. Anyone have a brand they trust that won't fail like that?

Honestly, my experience has been the opposite. Ran the same cheap graphite cups for three seasons now with no cracks. The key is getting them really hot before the pour, that thermal shock is what usually does it. A slow preheat on the rim of the furnace made all the difference for me.
