Just realized I watched found footage films wrong for years
Ngl I used to just throw on stuff like Paranormal Activity and zone out on my phone. Then last month I watched The Houses October Built in a dark room alone with headphones and caught so many background details I missed before. Now I watch every found footage film on a laptop with brightened settings and no distractions. Anyone else find hidden stuff in the background when you actually pay full attention?

Wait isn't the whole point of found footage that it's supposed to feel messy and real? Bumping up the brightness kinda ruins the atmosphere for me, makes it feel too clean.
